You know where you are and what you want from life (vision) but how do you make it real?
This where goal setting takes place.
I combine GROW model (Goal, Current reality, options and Will) with asking clients to connect with how completing their goal will make them feel. This questioning helps clients make a connection to the goal and improves the chances of the goal being achieved.
When establishing goals with clients I ensure the goals are Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Time-bound. Also aligned with their vision.
To obtain clarity of client’s current circumstances I ask power questions and/ use information from their vision board as a tool to review their current reality.
We explore what they could do to overcome, increase or change in order to move closer to their goal.
Within the process I highlight what they are in control of:
As you start to take action this is the point when blocks occur. This is the sign you are on verge of change.
Ways to work through blocks and limiting beliefs:
Be present – Make a note of why the block happened?
Be kind to yourself – Hold no judgement just acknowledge on your thoughts.
Be nice – Say nice things to yourself.
Be positive – Create positive statements that challenges the belief. When a limiting belief occurs repeat the statement.
